After the fire in the Universal Studios backlot in 2008, the "King Kong" attraction was destroyed. Roof workers using a blow torch accidentally set the fire which destroyed part of the building. Now, universal Studios has announced that they will be opening another King Kong attraction around this time next year. It will be based on Peter Jackson's 2005 remake of the classic.Riders will apparently experience something "really cool" as they ride a tram through a dark sound stage. They will "fight off" large bats and witness the fight between King Kong and a T-Rex, all through 3-D projection and glasses.
